For this assignment in Photoshop, we had to take a car and retouch it into a sharper, cleaner looking picture. The images shown above represent that change.
For my first picture, I chose to shoot a close up of a rose. It was a better idea to include two as the picture seemed a bit more lively than before. I tried to give the picture a bit of an affect so the first rose is blurry and the second one is more in focus. Aperture: f5.0
Shutter Speed: 1/80 ISO: 100 Editing: I did not edit this photo in any way 1. For the first photo, I used a shutter speed of 2.8 which is what resulted in the blurry picture. 2. For the second photo, I used a shutter speed of 4.5 and the photo is starting to get slightly less blurry. 3. For the third photo, I used a shutter speed of 6.3 and the image is getting clearer which was my goal. 4. For the fourth photo, I used a shutter speed of 8.0 and as you can see, the final picture is dark, but also clear and this was my finishing goal. For this series of images, I was trying to go from a blurry picture to a clear picture. And by using the different shutter speeds, I was able to accomplish that. 1. The first photo was taken by using an aperture number of 1/10 2. The second photo was taken with an aperture number of 1/25 3. The third photo has an aperture number of 1/40 4. The fourth image was taken with an aperture number of 1/80 Extra Questions:
A fast shutter speed does what to an image? - When you have the camera set on a fast shutter speed, the image is clear because the camera is able to capture the object easier. A slow shutter speed causes what effect on an image? - The image is very blurry and fairly hard to see. The camera is much slower than the moment of what is happening. A LARGE aperture (size wide open) causes what effect on an image? - A short depth of field because the camera is allowing more light to enter into the lens. A SMALL aperture causes what effect on an image? - A long depth of field because the camera is disabling a big amount of light to enter into the lens. During this assignment, the Rule of Thirds was actually quite difficult. I wanted to find something that had more than just one thing, but noticeably something also put on the side. In the picture, the Saline Hornets is quite vibrant, but off the right, the "space" is a little bit of a downtone. I learned how best to get a pattern in the picture. It was so much fun to look for something that seemed unique compared to another picture. I also learned the best angle or slant to get a pattern in. As you can see, the photo is a bit slanted and the angle is a bit off to the right. I used the dancing figures on the wall, and matched them up together the best I could. I am happy with the result. The figures appear to be doing some sort of a dance, but in rhythm to each other. For this assignment, we had to find texture. I found a bit of a pattern in an object and took it at a point in which it would seem like if you touched it, it would feel in more ways than one. The designs seem like more of a creative addition. This reminds me a bit of perspective too because of how it seems to have been taken at a point in which someone would actually be looking at it. As you can see in the photo, the beginning is stretching away from the front point and heading back to the back point. This assignment was a bit easier than the others. It did seem to be finding the lines was hard though. I tried to combine more than just one angle of lines, and I feel very confident that I succeeded in finding that. Looking for something that would tie the whole photo together was the most difficult, but I found what I thought would be best with it. The photo is very unique as there is more than just one small thing in it. I learned that framing isn't at all easy, but just takes a bit of time. During this assignment, I found it very hard to find an angle that would most represent perspective. I decided to go to the stairs because it reminded me a bit of going towards your goal which is represented by the sun. Finding the right kind of space was the trickiest part for me. I wanted more than just one color, but I didn't want something too over the top. I learned that having a few colors mixed together, can bring the entire photo together. During this assignment, I learned what would make for a better photo compared to another. I learned that taking the right photo is much harder than just taking one out of the blue. I also learned that taking your time to find the right angle and space is so worth it. For this assignment, I learned what makes photos pop more. The right colors together can just bring the photo completely together. Appears to be nature in it's origin.
